PSiRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) is the statutory body that regulates SA's private security industry. By law, anyone installing or servicing alarm, CCTV, or electric-fence equipment must be PSiRA-registered. A registered installer carries an ID card and a Grade. FlowLeads only refers to PSiRA-registered installers — non-registered installers are illegal to use and your insurer can reject claims.

Your alarm panel must have a communicator module (radio or GSM) that signals to a control room. Most armed-response companies (ADT, Fidelity, Beagle, Chubb, etc.) will install or program the module for you; some require their own equipment. Expect R350–R800 once-off for the linkup and R250–R650/month for the monitoring contract. Check that your installer is approved by the armed-response company you want to use.
