What affects the quote

  • Roof type. Tile, IBR/corrugated, slate and concrete each need different repairs and materials.
  • Pitch and height. Steep or double-storey roofs need more safety setup and time.
  • Extent of damage. A single cracked tile is cheap; perished waterproofing across a flat roof is a bigger job.
  • Access. Tight sites, solar panels, or fragile sheeting slow the work down.

Repair or replace?

If your roof is under ~15 years old and the problem is localised (a few tiles, one flashing), repair. If you're patching leaks every rainy season, a re-roof or full waterproofing usually works out cheaper over five years than repeated call-outs and ceiling repairs.

Always get a guarantee

Reputable roofers back waterproofing and re-roofs with a written workmanship guarantee (often 1–10 years). Get it in writing before work starts. Get free quotes from verified roofing contractors in your area.
